ASE Certified Technicians

Pro-Tech Auto Repair is outfitted with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and skilled, ASE Master certified technicians (Automotive Service Excellence). ASE is a voluntary organization started in 1972 to improve the automotive industry. Technicians voluntarily take very difficult tests that demonstrate their knowledge and skill, which earns them certification in each area of repair. Our technicians attend industry seminars and factory training schools to ensure that you will receive the most knowledgeable assessments and repair.

Meet the staff…

	Steve joined the team at Pro-Tech in 2000 as Service Manager. He's a certified master tech and has known Tom for years.  Steve and Tom went to high school together as well as worked together at Superior Ford years later.
	Jeff is Pro-Tech's lead tech. After graduating from Anoka Technical College, Jeff worked in dealerships and then for independent repair shops. He joined Pro-Tech in 2002. He is a certified master tech. He excels at the really tough diagnosis problems but can handle any job given to him.
	Pro-Tech is proud to have Tom's son Dan join the family business in 2002 part-time and then full-time in 2005, when he graduated from Dunwoody Technical College. He has learned a great deal working side by side with Jeff and Tom. He is a certified master tech and continues on-going industry training.
	After graduation from Hennepin Technical College, Tom started at Ford dealers.  He became a certified master tech in 1977, with certifications still held today. In 1983 he started Pro-Tech Auto Repair with a partner and in 1996 took the business over on his own. Now in Pro-Tech's 28th year, he still very much enjoys what he does.

AAA "Top Shop"

Pro-Tech Auto is proud to have received AAA's prestigious "Top Shop" award for nine consecutive years. Each year AAA Minnesota/Iowa recognizes a small percentage of Approved Auto Repair (AAR) facilities for their business integrity, professional standards in automotive repair, outstanding customer service and community involvement.

To qualify for this distinction, a repair facility must meet AAA's strict criteria for technician certification and customer satisfaction.  It takes a customer satisfaction rating of at least 98% to receive this award.  In 2009, only 42 Minnesota auto repair shops earned the "Top Shop" honor.
